You might even get it off without a puller if you're lucky. I was able to just do mine without a puller. Remember to line the front wheels up straight and put the steering wheel back on straight.

Steering wheel and the shaft are marked so it is easy to put it back on correctly. I didn't see any markings on my '79, and the wheel was off when I bought the truck. Maybe just gone with time? Sure makes sense they would be marked!
