So I go out the back door, it's raining, and I hit the unlock button on the fob to unlock my truck. (04, 3500, Cummins, 6 speed.) I realize my wipers started going. They made two swipes and stopped. It shocked me. I hopped in and checked the wiper switch and it was in the off position. The wipers never ran again until I turned them on. Is there some type of sensor on those so they do this or was this some type of anomaly or ???? I don't ever remember this happening before.

My '06 wipers occasionally wouldn't shut off. Research showed the most common cause was the wiper switch (stalk) and/or the contacts in the wiper motor. Supposed to be fairly easy to replace the switch and clean the contacts but never did either before I got rid of truck. Kind of that never-think-about-it-until-it-acts-up kind of thing. Cleaning the contacts might be your first choice. Tim
