Looks like Stage VI stuff to me. Are those home made gaskets or some sort of spacers sitting in the valley. Look like they were cut out with a torch or something.

That looks like a wide intake so maybe a Stage VI intake for an RB block? I'm not sure on those rockers. Might be Harland Sharp with a bad color balance on the camera? If they are red then I don't know what brand that is, maybe someone else does.

Stage VI stuff is really iffy in terms of quality. Some of it was okay and some of it wasn't. If you are going to use those parts they need to be double checked by someone who is familiar with all of the problems that Mopar had with those heads.

thanks his dad was an old school make it yourself type. he also found a set of P4120352 / 3614476 heads with 2.14/1.81's of his fathers so far.

Says he has a windowed hemi block but thinks there might be a couple good ones in the stash. does not know what most stuff is.

Tell him to drag it all out and take good photos. Post the photos on here in the WIW section and people will tell him what the parts are and what they might be worth. Lots of guys on here can identify parts from a good picture.

That is indeed an obsolete stage vi rb intake. I had the same one on the Mirada mill, only the 4500 flange. When they made those you no longer had to run the spacers required for any RB intake. It was amazing how that intake and a dominator woke up my fairly mild build.

They were a really good idea back in the early 90’s..... just poorly executed. There’s some ancient reading on these in the archives here....

Dwayne Porter was/is the “go to” guy on these heads.... but he’ll be the first to tell you that if your looking to buy, get something else.

While I really didn’t have any big probs with my stage vl heads they had the usual probs of valve heights all over the board and why the didn’t use a longer valve is beyond me.
Raised exhaust ports can make header installs a treat. Luckily in my case we were able to lower the engine slightly and the J didn’t have the longitudeinal torsion bars to fight with. Still had to reconstruct a couple tubes though.

There’s actually pics of two different heads there....... stage IV and stage VI.

The 3614476 is an old stage IV head.

The rockers on the stage VI look like the Mancini rockers to me...... but could just as easily be Pro Comps.
If they have no bearings in them, then probably Mancini.
If they have needle bearings, then Pro Comps(or some other variation of Shang Hai Sharps).

Hard to tell by just looking at a pic, but the port openings on the stage VI look bigger that std, but not fully MW size either....... might be the reason for the home made gaskets.
A quick measurement would answer that question.

That 6835 stamped into the stage VI head is likely a “job number” from some shop, which means it’s likely someone went through them at one point.

Yes he sent pictures of the stage six first and then the iron stage 4 he is digging through his dads stuff to see what he has and wants to start slow building a drag car. He is young and is overwhelmed on where to start on his dads parts stash. said he remembers his dad was a big Mancini customer (weren't we all) he has a lot of digging and learning to do.
