I have a Hemi with original magnesium cross-ram intake and new Holley cross-ram carbs. The car starts and idles perfect, good throttle response when car idle in park. The problem. If I give a quick jump of the throttle in gear it sometimes drops down to 600 rpm and comes back up to idle, most of the time it just falls off and stalls. Quick turn of the key and it restarts. What needs to be adjusted or looked at on the carbs to fix this problem? Idle mixture screws are all set at 1 1/2 turns out. Any input appreciated. Usually in my experience if it falls flat on it's face, it's lean, if it blubbers then dies then it's rich............

Are the carbs specific to the engine & manifold? Do they have power valves?

What's your idle rpm? 600-750 is in the good range. Did you open up the throttle blade past the slot? Could be way past and using the main circuit instead of the idle. Are the back ones shut tight?

Idle mixture screws are all set at 1 1/2 turns out. Turn all the idle screws out (richen) a half-turn at a time to see if it improves.
