I know the tracks are different. I have a pair of 69 A buckets and they won't bolt into my 70 B body. The track spacing is narrower. Don't know if the bucket itself is the same or not? Travis..

68 and 69 A and B Bodys use the same seat frames. Risers are specific to A and B and do not interchange. So yeah a 69 Charger bucket will fit a 68 Dart as long as you use A Body risers and vice versa.Seat back release knobs are different between years but interchange.Seat backs, hinge covers, headrests and hardware all interchange .

So if one were to buy some 69 B body buckets intended for use in a 69 Dart, it sounds like the only thing usable is the seat frame, head rests and accessories. The right tracks and risers would have to be located and the foam changed out to accomodate 69 covers. Is this right?
I'm not 100% on the foam , but yes the seat tracks are different , Risers, not sure what you mean by that ?

I'm not 100% sure what risers are either. I assume they attach to the tracks and to the floor pan.
The tracks in an A body bolt DIRECTLY to the floor pan , the only thing you would need if converting a non bucket seat car to buckets is the extra support plates that are welded to re enforce the floor pan .

I bought some b body seats for my b body and they have tracks and also on each side a stamped metal mount that goes from front to back about 3 inches tall on one end to about 4 inches tall on the other end. I think this is the riser he is refering to. Are all 66 to 70 b body bucket seats the same frame? They sure all look the same in the Legedary catalog, but Legendary can't tell me for sure if covers from a 68 b body will fit a 67 b body seat. I hate the pattern in mine and want to change it to a better style.
Yeah, that's my take on it. The riser being part of the track assembly and on an A body the inside track riser being taller than the outside.
Thanks for the help.
