My street strip 65 belvedere finally has some power and I wanted to put a loop on it before hitting the track again. Has anyone used one of those driveshaft loops that bolt to the transmission cross member? Not sure if the x-pipe Will work with this one or not. Mancini racing sells them.
I don't really have any fabrication facilities at my place and the bolt on unit seems easy.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I've been contemplating a loop for my 64 and have the tti x-pipe as well. Car has buckets so seat bolts are right there or was thinking of something mounted to the x-pipe itself.

My E-body has a 3" TTI x-pipe system and one of the U.S. Car Tool (?) bolt-on loops. The bolts that hold the loop to the main "frame" of the assembly caused a clearance issue, so I had that part of it welded to eliminate the bolts sticking up into the exhaust.

I run the us car tool bolt in on my a body with the tti x pipe. I have my doubts about whether the loop as sold would control the shaft. I made a strap that goes from the loop to the seat
studs to give the whole thing more support. Happy with it now.

I have TTI headers & 3" X-pipe on my Dart with a conventional driveshaft loop. I had to dent the tubes near the X to clear. I'm sure it didn't hurt flow. I had a little back & forth adjustability available because the loop was already there and I was adding the X-pipe & exhaust. I think I had to do the same with my Aspen wagon, so it appears that a little denting may be necessary in most applications.

I used the METCO loop on my E body and used TTI headers and 3" X pipe. I had no clerance issues using the METCO loop.

Still Broke

I am using a METCO driveshaft loop in my '64 Savoy, along with a TTI X-Pipe 3 inch exhaust system. I modified it, to be egg shaped with, 3/4 inch added to the loop above the driveshaft, and about 1 inch added to the loop below the driveshaft for clearance. Also added two gussets to the driveshaft loop to reinforce.
