I started out to find out which engine's I could get a set of the 302 casting number cylinder heads.Since I have been doing research I am asking my self why not a ROLLER 360?Good heads roller cam.WHY NOT?

That would get you close to the best of all worlds for a low cost street build. I would think the block should show minimal wear, being fuel injected.

I found one with 91.000 miles on it for 275.00. up

The roller LA 360 engines came with 308 heads, which were standard Mopar open chamber but with a better exhaust port. They were quickly discovered by the two dozen or so Mopar dirt track racers as the best LA stock head. [No, the W2 is not a stock head.] The heads' exhaust ports were good enough that power was lost using a dual pattern camshaft.

Go for it! Excellent move and well priced. EZ re-use of the OE lifters.
Just ask the cam company if there cam is compatible with the iron gear. This way, you’ll know before hand if you should get the gear upgrade. Save time!

I think as 88 to 92 but there is some overlap
I had a 91 dakota with a 5.2 magnum

Chances are likely pretty good that one or both of the heads have cracks.

Great block to start with if you want to run a hyd roller IMO.
