Looking for any user opinions on Silver Sport Transmission's T56 magnum perfect fit kit for an E body that relocates the shifter to the factory location. Wondering if folks are happy with the shift quality ect and if it's worth the cost over the stock T56M for a non stock car.
Any other user comments on the kit are welcome as well.

So, how can it be a perfect fit? Reread Goody's post, he has a "standard" T56, depending on the "factory" T56 used there's about 3-4 "stock" shifter locations used by Mopar/GM/Ford... the SST "relocation modification" is a modification of the tail shaft and shift rails to relocate the shifter to an offset/rearward application for the 70-74 E and 71-2 B body applications, much like what has been done for years with the Tremec TKO 5 spds for the E/B bodies so that the shifter comes up in the stock location so you can use a factory console if so desired... here's a pic of the E body Silver Sport Transmission's relocated shifter on the T56 6 spd bottom pic is Goody's T56 for comparison... Mike That's correct. Mine is centered, technically. I've offset the shifter handle about 1/2" over and 1" back, or so, to help get it closer. That seems to work much better, but if I had the option when assembling, the SST position is where my money would go.
