I know that Race Pak is probably the most popular, but has anyone used the Autometer system?

I'm going to stump up on a data logger sometime. I see a lot of Racepak stuff in the pits, even the supplier is hanging around giving help, carrying a few spares at the bigger meets. I also run an MSD Grid system, so racepak is a no brainer for me. Just gotta save up the pennies.

I have a V300SD Racepak in my car it is painfully expensive every time a sensor is added to the system. Some of the latest fuel injection systems have excellent data logging capabilities. My best guess is that EFI systems will ultimately obsolete Racepak and hopefully bring the prices for logging down.

RPM data loggers will do everything Racepak will do for less than half the cost and way better customer support. Unless you are running NHRA type points races with contingency money on the line, RPM Data loggers is the way to go. Even then, you would have to win a few big/points races to win enough contingency money back from Racepak to make their system cost effective...

You could certainly do an EFI system to control your ignition and data log while still keeping the carb on the car.

I think it wouldn't be hard to be in an Megasquirt 3 system for your ignition and data logging for less money that you would spend on a race pack. If you need to add a dash you can buy a tablet at wal mart to use.
