Just wondering if anyone has found a very very slim electric cooling fan (push or pull) . . . I need something 2" or slimmer . . .

Spal and Mishimoto have some fans in the 2"-2 1/16"-2 3/8" range depends on diameter required, you might end up having to mount 2 because fans in the 2" thick range are 6" to 12" max in dia... generally, hopefully others might chime in with other info?

Yep, my dual is pretty thin there.

Fans out of a Neon are thin and move a ton of air. $20 to $40 at the recyclers.

Thanks for the ideas . . . not for a mopar, for a 64 falcon with 6cylinder. Not really a cooling issue, it is more of an "extra hp" . . . don't like heading down the road at WOT to keep up to 65-70mph traffic !!! . . . figure removing the existing 4 blade fixed fan should give the ole machine a "little" more oomph . . . very very limited to room between rad & water pump or rad and grille in front . . . not a very large rad either . . . like idea of a brush type . . . I know the Ford 200cid 6 is really limited by the 1bbl carb . . . but just thought the fan would give it that little extra. But they never built this 6cylinder to be a rocket - the intake is cast into the head, so no choice on carb !!! . . . DUH . . .no wonder the slant 6 runs away from the Ford 6 !!! . . . .

i'm not a fan [pun intended ! ] of aftermarket fans, and if any way possible, choose factory items of your choice of manufacturer. the main reason, is aftermarket fans may, or [usually] may not blow [another intended pun !] what cfm they claim, while OEM fans move a ton of air, plus they are way more durable [even if made in elcheapistan] than imported aftermarket fans. only two things that are a must when using an electric fan. use a RELAY with wiring to match the fan of your choice, as some [most] OEM fans have a rather high start up electrical demand. and #2, make sure your present electrical system [alternator and wiring harness] is up to the task of keeping up with the fan's demand, plus the rest of your electrical needs. just my opinion after fixing electrical problems for over 40yrs. your mileage may vary....

Appreciate the input . . . I am in the electrical industry, and definitely agree with you on the relay and alternator/wiring comments !!! Actually I have already changed the headlights to a relay so they get full voltage (did same on my 70 sport satellite too) . . .
