vinnyd76 OP pro stock V Joined: Apr 2012 Posts: 1,563 Macomb, MI	I need some help confirming that this is a forged crank for a 340. It's tough to make out the numbers, so I'm hoping the Moparts community can identify this one. It appears to have a wide parting line. The crank makes a ringing sound (but the casting numbers look like they start with 265, which I did not think made sense for a forged). Last edited by vinnyd76; 04/16/18 11:32 PM.

qwkmopardan super stock Q Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 883 Affton MO	That is a 273 or 318 steel crankshaft. 340 cranks have a lightening hole in the #1 and#4 rod pin. With a lighter piston they will balance with no problem.. Just as strong or stronger than a 340 crank.
