What oil are you all running in 4sp and rear end? In New Mexico.. no real severe weather...

I run the thicker 85W-140 (?) my trans & rear end with "posi" additive in the rear end too. BUT....there's no good reason for this. I think the thinner 75W-90 (?) stuff is what is recommended....no posi additive in the transmission though.
I believe it was about 72 (?) that Mopar went to Dextron II in even the manual transmissions.....and that's really thin.

Pennzoil Syncromesh works good also in the trans. I use the heavier 75w140 gear oil in the rear since it gets real hot here in the summer.

80 90 gear oil in mine since 1969.Still shifts great.Even when it was a daily driver and like 0 out its what I ran.Rocky

This above, GL-4 for the trans (very important) And GL-5 for the rear end.
