I run the thicker 85W-140 (?) my trans & rear end with "posi" additive in the rear end too. BUT....there's no good reason for this. I think the thinner 75W-90 (?) stuff is what is recommended....no posi additive in the transmission though.
I believe it was about 72 (?) that Mopar went to Dextron II in even the manual transmissions.....and that's really thin.

Pennzoil Syncromesh works good also in the trans.
I use the heavier 75w140 gear oil in the rear since it gets real hot here in the summer.

This is what I use , it plays well with the brass in the trans .

80 90 gear oil in mine since 1969.Still shifts great.Even when it was a daily driver and like 0 out its what I ran.Rocky
