I have a friend that has a bell housing that we are trying to identify what years/engines/body styles this might have been used on. The bearing retainer hole is 4 3/4" but the information he has does not show a 65 or 66 bell housing with that size of bearing retainer hole. The casting number 2468372 shows it is for a 65 or 66 B body.
Any information is appreciated.

Casting #2468372 should have a 4.354" hole. Somebody has bored it out to use the 4.80" bearing retainer. Not uncommon.

If it was stock it would fit a big block A-Body also and be worth good money... work

Does the side picture of the one my friend has the same as your A body big block housing? The only difference I see in yours vs his is yours has a casting date on it for 69. His does not have a casting date.
Any idea what his is worth. He probably wants to sell it.

If they did bore it out, they sure did a good job.
