Seeing what dizuster does with a cast crank, stock stroke 360 with a single turbo I'd be looking to replicate that if you want to go faster.

A stock 360 magnum with some boost will hit 450 hp or better i am sure. A friend of mine pushed a nonintercooled boneyard 318 to 534 hp before he lost a head gasket! You say cheap, it is darn hard to beat the power per $ a turbo can give you. Besides , they work well with less converter and road gears!

Exactly what I was thinking, maybe a bigger turbo or better cam then what you have. You're not going to get a bucks down better package than where you're at now. Me personably, I would spend the money on a 5.7 Hemi and turbo. Should go easily in your truck. Hot Rod did a build-test awhile back with a stock junkyard engine and a turbo they had used on another engine, made way over 500 hp. With bolt on stuff.

To do that you are going to need an aftermarket block, not cheap.

Im already turbo’d small block ...been for years And it makes close to 700 rwhp Those are some very impressive results ![bow bow](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/bow.gif) My N/A 518 C.I. low deck pump gas stroker made 727 HP at the flywheel, a little over 500 RWHP, it weighed 3450 Lbs. with me in it and ran a best of 9.993 at 134.7 MPH through the 3.0 inch exhaust with the air cleaner on Adding 3 to 7.0 lbs of boost on pump swill might have got it into the low tens or high nines, who knows That was a regular non thick web 1976 400 block with four sleeves in it and ductile iron main caps and ARP main studs, no girdle ![tsk tsk](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/tsk.gif) Indy SR M.W. non ported heads with a Indy 400-3 intake and Holley # 9375 non HP Dominator carb. I would NOT buy the cheapest rods I could get ![tsk tsk](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/tsk.gif) On the heads as you already know they can limit how much air can be forced through them, huh ![shruggy shruggy](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/shruggy.gif) Bottom lines is how fast do you want to go and how much money and effort do you want to spend to get thier ![shruggy shruggy](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/shruggy.gif) Do it cheap and redo it later to go faster or do it once and go fast right away ![grin grin](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/grin.gif)

![haha haha](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/haha.gif) So many Chebby guys have no clue that Chrysler built a 383 that wasn't a stroker. They also built low deck 383's and tall deck 383's, just to be confusing.
July 19th should be "Drive Like Rockford Day". R.I.P. Jimmie.

They also built low deck 383's and tall deck 383's, just to be confusing. 1959 only year made I think, tall deck 383 where I believe 4.0 bore with a 3.75 stroke, the low decks where like all the other normal low deck 383, 4.250 bore with the shorter stroke Never say never with any American car company, NEVER ![grin grin](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/grin.gif)
