Yes that's the stuff. If Dayclona says that MARINE JB Weld will work that might be a cheaper and easier way to go. I would not use regular JB Weld

I would not use regular JB Weld Chris, The JB weld MARINE epoxy is pretty much on par with the POR-15 putty performance wise/spec wise for finish harness, just that the JB Marine takes a good day or 2 to fully harden, the POR is ready to go in about 12 hrs Mike

just curious but what is the big difference between the regular jb weld and the jb weld marine stuff? why couldn't you use the regular stuff on the console lid?
inherited a 69 roadrunner from my grand pop.

Some antiques I was restoring had attachment with similar fitments. I got rid of some of the roughness with emery without sanding down the residual stud. After that I took some thin wall brass tubing from the hobby shop of the "just" right id to fit over the stud and epoxied it on. after all set up I thinned down the od of the tubing just a bit with emery and slightly enlarged the id of the self threading nuts with an awl and ran them on. Another good idea. Thanks!
