when you us correct preload and spring pressure 1/4 turn preload open pressure 340 max ( or see Morel site for more details) they offer higher RPM units but preload and oil weights are critical Yes that is quality unit

I have spun them higher than 6,000, BUT, you will need to change the pre load a bit.1/4 turn wont work for every set up.

As I understand it the actual Morel Solid Roller uses the same Hydraulic roller body which are rather long compared to other solid rollers and take shorter pushrods. But functionally they work great and are very durable, and obviosly if they use them for solid applications they are certainly proven at higher than 6000 RPM crank speeds.
If there's any peace of mind remember that 6000 rpm at the crank is proportionally only 3000 RPM at the cam.
I have a nearly new set of Morel SB Mopar solids I only switched them because I wanted to try out the BAM lifters, no difference in performance at all though. I think the only difference is the SB have a V bend in the link bar for valley clearence, I cant think of any reason they wouldn't work in a Big Block.

I believe Howards uses the Morels and just rebrands them. That is what I use and have well over 4500 street/strip miles on them.

I had a Lunati Hyd Roller with their lifters in a street 440. Ran it 3 runs. Best of 13.30 at 4025 lbs with a bad converter.
I ran it to 6000 rpm and it did not go well. After the 3 runs half the adjusters were found to be loose due to valve float.
My 2 cents is be very careful if you run to 6000 rpm. Cover your ground very well. I used 10-40 oil and 10-30 would have been better. There are many variables including how quick the lifter can pump the oil, lifter weight, valve spring pressure, etc.
BTW - Lunati told me the cam and springs could handle 6200 rpm.

I doubt it will frequently see 6000 past the dyno room But I guess that means periodic checks
Geesh , should i just go solid ?

Howards sells lifters from a wide variety of makers The cheaper hyd rollers from everywhere tend to be Johnsons--Yuck! Morels basics are best out there for normal use--in Ford and Chevy applications morel offers a lot of part numbers all with very specific requirements for oil weight and max spring pressure and different preloads--all aimed at higher RPM have not checked in a while so they may offer those options in Mopar--Morel has three fine print pages of roller lifter part numbers so when you say Morel that covers a LOT of ground
My experience with hyd rollers in Mopars has been like this Cranes first lifters were flawless and did anything I asked from the gas pedal NEVER any issues-they quit and Comps were only deal in town--plungers sticking --issues after issue--NO help from Comp ever so --off my list forever Morels ye haaa!! Follow Morels directions and keep pressures as they require--rev like a chainsaw--no comebacks--RPM way more than you need in street applications ( race cars get solids--period) all good Other brands can be from anywhere and now more players in the game so hard to tell what you are actually buying unless you consult guys in the know like COMPWEDGE, Marsh , and other top players
me....I am back to Ft hyd's and glad of it no more fuel pushrod issues, expensive distributor gears--all of which are just a PIA for a STREET car so if I need more I just go Solid-- I prefer solids in any real performance application--if your guy does not want to adjust valves--he needs a new Gen3 available at all dealers nationwide just my humble opinion
The other guys on here that build lots of engines and dyno them are the folks to ask -- In the beginning the hyd rollers looked like salvation after all the oil and lobe deals-- but after a few years-- after you actually weigh a pair of Mopar big block hyd rollers and after you see what Crazy stuff Mopar big block hyd rollers can "achieve" on a dyno then you get like me and say uuuhhhh just give me a solid and carry on Builders fight that lifter weight vs how much spring pressure is needed to get safe operation at desired RPM--and all the different lifter valve rates etc It is a tough battle and one I can't see fighting on a street engine
