I see glass kits offered in clear and green or grey tint. Anyone have any experience with the quality/fitment of these? I'm leaning towards a tint, were the original tints green or grey? I bought my metal from AMD, very happy with it, they also offer a glass kit that looks pretty good.
Oh yeah, it's a hybrid.....it burns gas and tires!

I believe AC cars came with tinted glass.
They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

The '69 Coronet I had with A/C had green tint on side and rear windows and a strip along the top of the windshield.
I have mechanical Aptitude. I can screw up anything.

I believe AC cars came with tinted glass. Not automatically. They were stand-alone options. Tint was recommended with a/c, but not mandatory.

I got all the tinted AMD glass for my '70 'Cuda during the restoration a few years ago. They had just recently made the side glass available at that time. I had an issue with the fitment of the first shipped door glass not fitting properly.
They shipped a corrected shape replacement set for no charge, and told me to toss the bad ones. Great customer service.
I then took all the glass including the front windshield to the best window tinter in our area, and had him tint all the glass with their lightest high quality 3M film. It blocks something like 98% of all UV light from the car. I am very happy with the way the glass looks and the end result.
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)

I believe the factory ones leaned more towards the green. Tinted glass is always good IMO. In California anyway... Same here in FL, I'd never consider not having tinted glass
