Is there any info on what the various stampings on the Prestolite distributors mean? Code book.

Interested in the 60-70 Dual Points primarily. What does IBS mean versus IBB or IBP, how can you tell what the cam stop stamps mean. Example B LU.

I understand the basics and more like CW and CCW rotation, shaft lengths, and I have cross referenced the Mopar parts books looking at common parts and where parts change, but I have noticed some differences in breaker plates as an example and height of the distributor body.

Can't find any period type Prestolite documents on line to figure it out, so looking to see if any help here. Thanks in advance.

I have a Prestolite service manual that has detailed info on the various distributor models, i.e., IBB, IBs, etc. If you provide me with the specific model you are interested in, I can copy the relevant pages for you.

Thank you. I guess the 68 and 69 IBS series for big block 4014 for the hemi.

I have some loose cams with markings such as:

A L; AA IBP RG; B LU; and Y LV (which I have seen on the 1970 340 4 Barrel 4 speed DP distributor)

I also have a bearing plate.

Also if there is any info on the tach drive Hemi versions that Mopar performance had for the A body hemi cars.

Here are the pages for IBS distributors. As you can see, there are multiple model numbers for the 4014. If you can narrow the list by giving me the exact number and letter suffix, I can find the advance curve for you I would copy the curves but there are many pages. I will reply with each page because of the file size limit.

Thank you. Looking for the parts list and certainly the advance curve would be nice too for a 1969 Hemi IBS-1014A

I did not find any parts lists in the manual but I will post the advance curve pages that are listed for the 4014.

Thank you, that helps with the curves. Any one have the Prestolite part/service manual that would have codes that are stamped on the cam assembly?
