Whats the pros/cons to running a valley plate vs the old valley pan? For the average person you want to run what you need to run. That is, standard type heads should use a valley pan while extended runner heads should use a valley plate.

I have cnc stealth heads , port is bigger than pan and felpro gasket . currently I use the tray etc opened up by hand . But it still pulls a little oil into #1 port , got the others sealed up second time round. I have a set of Andy's batwings and some Superformance gaskets on the way , I will use these with my home made valley plate . Hope this will stop all oil pull through

Yep, that is a common problem. I designed my batwing gasket holders just for the CNC ported head issue.
