Has anyone tried the Synthetic version of DOT 3? I assume it doesn't destroy paint like the old stuff. I have used Dot 5 in a recent build, is the DOT 3 Synthetic a better route for the old cars, or does it make much difference vs. Dot 5?
I put DOT 3 syntetic in my '89 Diplomat (if you consider that older car) without realizing it was synthetic until it was too late. No problems whatsoever.
Facts are stubborn things.

DOT 3 will still harm paint. Only DOT 5 which is a silicone fluid will not.
Nautilus Racing- We use Superformance gaskets and Turbo Action converters/products.

Don't mix DOT 5 with DOT 3 or 4,serious seal swelling will result. RT Myth. In order to receive DOT certification, all DOT fluids must be able to coexist in the same system with no ill effects.
