i see you can get a kit through jegs for a small chevy for $1900 but after a while searching the web no results for a small block chrysler i see that dick landy industries did offer a kit but is now no longer in business id really like to pursue this type of build because it would be very different any advice?

Those intakes are an offenhauser 273 dual quad unit with the carb pads machined out and the blower pad welded in. As far as a kit there probably not available new anymore for mopars. You could buy the blower unit with the pulleys and have your own manifold made. Back in the 80s B&M ooffered an adapter to mount that small blower on any single plane street intake manifold.

Keep old mopars alive.

to adapt a intake to a blower there is some information on victorylibrary.com in the tech paper section.

Not sure if they still make them but Dick Landy used to make one.

For the type of manifold you want, the place is called Max Wedge Performance in Australia. They make them. Also makes one for W2 heads and some others. For more info contact:

"Bill Laney" <williaml@hotkey.net.au>

Got this message from Bill sometime back:

"Greg
Supercharged Chrysler small block 671 144-177 manifold AUD $1150 + freight
regards

Bill"

If you convert that to US dollars, it still ain't cheap. Pic is the 671 version he makes.

Someone here posted a pic of a magnum beer barrel intake with the top wacked off and a blower mounting plate welded on. Looked sweet! Thought I saved the pic, but can't seem to find it...

1,150.00 AUD = 726.241 USD

that could be worse i suppose but whats the blower itself going to run? and what else do i need to run it?

Thats the way it is for us guys into mopars. If you shell out $1100 plus for a custom made manifold- by the time you add in $$ for the blower and all accessories you are knocking on the price door of a good used 671 set up complete. As usual for SMC the small blower kit is very affordable and available new. I do know the Offy dual quad intakes are still available new and used, but the price for conversion seems to take the "Low Buck" out of the build.

Keep old mopars alive.

sounds very intersting, have been searching alot to find some pics of any kinds of blower manifold for a smallblock but cant find more than some pretty expensive ones made for 6/71s and some custom made ones in finland that do look nice but i kind of like the thougt of doing stuff myself
so any pics of this would be very intresting to see if it can be found:)

My 2 cents:
I don't know how you plan to drive the car, race, show or both.
I have a blown 383 stroker motor in my 56 chevy wagon. (I am a mopar guy, I am working on a 72 challenger) The car is for show and I race it at the nastalgia drags a couple of times a year (high 11's et)
I did some research on the smaller B&M blowers when I built the motor.
The smaller blowers use 2 lobed rotors. The 671 and larger use 3 lobed rotors. The smaller blowers can cause pulsating boost pressures in the manifold because of the 2 lobe design plus they can't move as much air/fuel. I have seen guys at the strip with the small blowers and I am not saying they are bad but I wonder if they would have better et's with a bigger blower. I just wanted more performance if I was going to spend the $ for a blower. Also, the blower and carbs sticking out of the hood looks awsome! If you do decide to go with one of the smaller blowers I would suggest the 177, the largest capacity of the 3.
