No two cars were built the same exact way in every detail. :-)
Any true restoration would include any 'mistakes' if the car was built that way.
Oh boy do I have some disagreements coming when I finally finish this car. As a general rule I have kept this sort of found difference, particularly when I have great documentation. This one I struggle with as it leaves the wire harness riding the sharp edge of the sheetmetal, and while I doubt any real negative effects would come from it, its certainly not a good idea.

Thanks for the information Fastmark, and the photos (attached with your blessing) First pic is of driver side wire harness, second is of passenger side antenna cable routing. Based on your findings and a few friends I’ve asked with original cars or pics, this installation seems to be the most common, at least for AARs. Surprising to me the factory seemed to use the cutout on the passenger side and not the drivers side. **If I ever find out why the image loads sideways sometimes and not others I will correct this * UPDATE - FIXED, thread below tells how https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbt...tml#Post2382194
