This says concours quality ABS. I always thought the original ones were fiberglass. http://www.fpap.com/proddetail.asp?prod=FP107 But yeah, 400 bones. At least it comes with the support brackets too.

If I recall-the spoiler you want was made by Direct Connection (Sold by them anyway) and discontinued around 2003.

Oh you meant the duck tail? Sorry, nobody is oficially making them. I have found couple of ppl making their version and selling on ebay quite often on $150-200 rate. I got long time ago an original ABS one ( first ones were made on fiberglass, seconds were made on ABS ) sometime ago thinking on repro it on fiberglass, but stuff has being hard down here to invest any kind of money.

IIRC, 70-71 trunk lids lack the spine, Demon or Duster. '72-'76 have it. 1971 late production change added the rib to the trunk as they were getting a dent from slamming the flat style trunk lids. The spoiler in 1970 was the Mustang looking one and some early 1971 builds, and 1971 saw the "gull wing". There was no factory 1972 spoiler, but I am sure some dealerships installed some.

I spent a few years tracking down those old Direct Connection A-Body spoilers and snagged two off of Craigslist...I think they're cool. I traded off one of them and the other went on the car.
iirc the last one I bought off of Ebay I paid like 80 or 100 for it.

When I bought my Duster a couple month's ago, the seller threw in a fiberglass ducktail spoiler, molded from an original DC spoiler. I will put it on the car in the near future.

I will put it on the car in the near future. did it have all the recesses along the edge for attaching hardware, or did they smooth it out and create a provision for a mounting solution inside the spoiler to go thru the deck lid? I've been thinking of doing that exact same thing, the Direct connection spoilers are just thin flimsy plastic. There are A LOT of boat shops around here on the gulf coast that have experienced fiberglass guys that I'm sure I could find one to work with me.
