Hello, My '71 Cuda has the hood pin option.I have the proper plastic coated factory type cables.But they scuff the paint when I drive over 50 mph. Besides removing them what would be a good fix. Thanks Kurt isettakurt@gmail.com

I always tuck them inside rad support for driving. Then pull them out for shows etc. I know this is not how there intended to be used but did not want to deal with what you describe.

I twist them so they stand up and off the hood up through normal freeway speeds, but as the car approaches 125 mph they do start to flatten out on the header panel. At 150+ mph they are squashed down pretty hard, so I try to keep it under 100 mph.
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)
