Is there a difference in the upper door pad Charger emblems between a 68 69 or 70 Charger? I'm specifically wondering if some of them had the word Charger highlighted in black paint?

The reason I ask is because Mike Ross at BEA reproduced these emblems but only sells them with the black outline. He says that 69 Chargers came with the black lettered emblems. It appears that my 69 did not have the lettering in black.

Here's an all original un-restored 69 Charger 500...and an all original 5000 mile interior 69 Daytona...

My Daytona was 100% original including paint even though it does have 64000 miles on it. Neither emblem has any evidence of any black paint. I checked with a friend of mine who has a Daytona that had its original interior in it with about the same amount of miles and it had no evidence of any black paint either. What I can't figure out is if the paint is rubbing off on these emblems why isn't there ever a little evidence of black paint. It seems as if there may have been two different versions. Hopefully more people can report what their car has.
