Hi all,
I would like some help to make sure I get the linkage set up and whatever bench testing I can do to avoid any more adjusting than I need to after it is installed.I don't have any good pictures to refer to because the linkage was disconnected when I started, so if you have a picture of how it's supposed to look that would help.

Fist off, does the linkage look right?
is valve (1) supposed to be open or closed when the door (4) is open? (or is there another rule for adjusting this?) The way I adjusted it so far is by fixing the rotation of (1) with nut (2)
When I tighten nut (3) it seizes up the linkage, is there supposed to be a bushing or jam nut that allows it to move after tightening?
Any tips on adjustments, bench testing or anything else that's easier to do before it's installed will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

there is a pretty 'ok' description/reference in the service manual section 24. if you don't have one they are available at mymopar.com.

i have to undertake this adventure soon myself.

(you didn't state what year so in my eyes it 1969!)

So according to the service manual there are a total of 7 vacuum lines coming from the control, 1 vacuum source and 6 that route to 3 seperate vacuum cans (2 each) makes sense, but...

on my car 2 of the vacuum lines coming from the control are connected with a "T" leaving one vacuum can missing a line.

This tubing configuration is how it was when I pulled it out of the car and it make me feel like it was built this way except for the fact that it makes no sense according to the manual. I know that no one want's to read the manual for me, I'm just curious if anyone has run into this before on their car. I don't really see an alternative to just tearing out the "T" and re-configuring according to the manual.
