I'm in the process of building a 68 dart and wanting to run my Indy -1 headed 440 in it without using fender well headers. Called tti and they said they don't make a header. What are you guys doing for this combo?

Custom made set sounds like the only way now shruggy
I bought two pair of header flanges(one set of 2 1/8 and one set of 2 1/14)with the stubs welded on made by Hedman for the Indy 440-1 heads from Summit scope thumbs

I don't know how different the 68's are from say a Duster..... But I know of a few who run those heads on rb blocks with the pro-parts(mazzolini) headers.
Those are semi-fender well....... 2 tubes each side go out around the frame rail, but are under chassis exit.

If you use a low deck block, then the std TTi's are supposed to fit.

Thanks for the input! I'll check out the proparts (mazolini) headers. I've done it before but really don't wanna build headers

Sounds like a good candidate for a tube K, coil overs, and rack steering.

I do not have the raised exhaust port 440-1's, but I do run EZ1 heads in my RB Duster, I love the fender well headers. Mine are an old set...Going to upgrade to Headman headers.

Tons of room around the engine, and easily take the diaper on and off.

I do run a Magnum Force front end though...

if you have the stomach for it. go with fenderwell headers.
you'll never look back. also hedman headers would be the ones.

Plenty of room especially around the plugs

This one of those "if you can solve this, the rest of your life will be easy" kind of challenges. Personally hate in chassis headers. Had some made for mine but not a street car.easy to work on everything!
