Caster/camber Adjusters were not tight and moved when it was driven. I jacked up the car and with hands on the wheel at 3 and 9 there is a slight bit of movement. No movement with my hands at 12 and 6 (which confirms new wheel bearings). Please explain how this confirms new bearings.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

I upgraded the front drum brakes on my 1970 Satellite to disk brakes. After that, I had the car aligned. Everything was out. I drove it about 7 miles and at low speeds (like 25 - 30 mph) when turning I'm getting tires squeal like you'd hear if the tire was very low or as if someone was doing a burn out. The wheel bearings are new so that can't be it. I thought maybe it was the alignment, but I had it aligned. Any suggestions on what it could be? The place that did the alignment said no parts needed to be replaced (I asked them to check the tie-rods because they looked a bit worn.) and they said they didn't need replacing. I jacked up the car and with hands on the wheel at 3 and 9 there is a slight bit of movement. No movement with my hands at 12 and 6 (which confirms new wheel bearings). After only 7 miles, to me, it looks like I have some positive camber. What the heck could be causing this? Thanks. Sounds like they didn't know what they were doing.Try to find a place with a older guy doing the alignment. It's not rocket science but some seem to have trouble with our stuff.

I took mine to a well respected guy who was very experienced with our stuff. When I picked it up it looked good and drove good. By the time I got home the tires were squeeling and the camber was obviously way off. Dropped it back off the next day and he redid it and also found paint caked in the threads from a previous owners paint job. He had torqued them but the paint had jammed the threads affecting the actual tightness. He fixed it for no charge and I would have no qualms about going back to him.

The manager said they'd have no credibility if he didn't admit...it was done incorrectly on a lift that they youngun' who did it shouldn't have been using. I'm not sure what that has to do with it, but my caster/camber cam adjusters are fine. They just think it was done incorrectly. So, they redid it, "with his best man on the job this time," and corrected the problem. Well, if its was done on a lift and the were tires hanging, that would really screw up the results. If a youngin did it, he may only be familiar with strut suspensions. glad they admitted it and got their "best man this time" to correct it.
