Be sure your headers are angle plug friendly.
For exhaust manifolds, straight plugs are "preferred"(as in Stealth heads).

I ordered the 5090 , Fel Pro Gaskets and APR head bolts
Plan on running factory exhaust manifolds , factory valve covers and rocker arms , along with a Performer Rpm and either a Factory Carter Avs or a Edelbrock Avs on my 71 Bee

Zero issues with factory distributor and vacuum advance
Found this
NOTE: This head will need to be machined for clearance if used with a MSD Ready to Run distributor.
Need a question answered
I noticed the intake manifold bolt threads are open on these heads, drilled through
Should i use a sealant on my ARP Intake Bolts like Hylomar or Anti-Seize or ?
Dont want any oil puddles on valley pan
Also the Edelbrock / Fel Pro Blue Perma Torque Head Gaskets should bee installed dry correct ? And looking at these gaskets it shouldnt matter what side is up or down
Thanx Scott

Perfect
Thanx
Gaskets installed dry , and torqued to 70 foot pounds after two trips to Sears and there wonderful micro click 1/2" torque wrench that was a week out of warranty
Finally found someone (Took a young man who knew exactly what ratchet kit was needed after three older guys didn't have a clue) who could rebuild the ratchet head for me , even offered to pay for the kit , thru him some cash
Should of just stole a torque wrench from work
Anyways a lot of paint work and detailing before wrapping things up

Got you beat.....My first torque wrench is a Montgomery Ward and the ratchet head is messed up.
Got it for my 15th or 16th birthday. My mother asked what I wanted and I told her, torque wrench. It was and still is the single best present I've ever received.
I went on a rampage a few years ago and bought a bunch of Snap-On dial torque wrenches. They are really nice for doing more precise work, and as you're sneaking up on maximum torque and the bolt starts to give (yield) it is pretty obvious. But the micro click torque wrendh is my favorite for reassembly in a hurry or in tight spots.

Now you guys have me worried. I installed my fel pro head gaskets for my trick flow heads with a coat of copper spray on each side. Lots of people do that. It isn't necessary and I doubt it will cause any harm. You're clamping the load down so hard it likely won't move unless you seriously abuse it.

Help
Been driving the car the last few days
Ran awesome until this aft , really like flipping a switch
Anyways history on the motor , engine was rebuilt about ten years ago , zero issues with motor , Speed Pro forged aluminum pistons .030 over - Mopar 284 - 484 cam set straight up Motor ran flawless Edelbrock intake - Carter AVS carb - Factory HP Manifolds 906 heads that had all the machine work done when engine was rebuilt
Anyways
Before installing these heads , I checked pistons where .027 in the hole , used the .038 Fel Pro Blue Head Gaskets from Edelbrock
Everything torqued proper Car ran great the last few days Coming home today after a cruise noticed a slight lifter or rocker arm tick at the gas station
Literally a mile from the house it let loose , I knew exactly what it was
Pulled the valve covers and the #4 cylinder - Intake valve pushrod had turned into a pretzel
Every other pushrod was perfect on all cylinders - New pushrods and factory shafts / rockers when engine was rebuilt years ago
Everything was kept the same except these new E Street Heads 75 cc Installed the supplied rocker arm shaft studs supplied with the heads Used all the factory valvetrain etc. everything looked great and was torqued down Rocker arm shafts oil holes down and offset towards valves
What the hell Just happened , I am speechless
I would imagine i will have to pull the intake and pan to check the lifter and cam , correct ?
Do I have to pull these damn heads again ?
Motor never saw over 5500 Rpms the last few days just like the last ten years
Thanx Scott

V/P contact might be a possibility. If you have a borescope you could go in the plug hole & see. A valve might have been too tight in the guide & seized up.
