Not sure about the crank, I read (on LX Forum I think)that the 09 and newer crank can be used in the older blocks but you have some machine work to do to the snout of the crank. http://www.ebay.com/itm/HEMITRONIX-5-7-a...0465508?vxp=mtrI bought this kit for my 2014, 5.7 haven't used it yet.

I'm building a couple boosted Gen3 performance block based 6.1 engines currently but I recently acquired a new 6.4 block and a drag pak 6.1 based 392 rotating kit as well as a set of cam and lifters real real cheap and new still so I'm weighing the options on the most economical way to finish it. 6.4 block is a lot stronger IMO
