As time goes we alwaysupgrade our cars from being a mild street performer to a not street legal anymore mild drag car. I went from 400hp 5 years ago to 650hp now ....so my question was where in this timeframe someone does need 200$ schocks or 75$ pieces
Dan For me its pretty simple.. can you control the car 100% of the time.. does it do the same thing over and over again.. does the 60'change on you.. if it changes MOST of the time its chassis or the shocks arent doing their job

It 60 ft straight as an arrow no problems there....
What are the advantages of front coil over schock vs torsion bar....are they worth the expense ?
Dan Are your 60' times the same all the time.. coil overs are lighter.. think what you get vs torsion bar.. not even thinking about the space you open up.. but with the coil over you have a spring and shock in 1.. the torsion bar you have a heavy bar and the adjuster parts and the shock.. over all the coil over is a lighter package

Viking, QA1 and Koni all make very good, adjustable, non-coil-over shocks that bolt in for OEM applications. You don't need to go through the added work & expense of modifying and strengthening your front end to adapt a coil-over shock, unless you really want to.
The adjustability and tuning for different tracks & conditions can come in handy for just about any ET range. But naturally, the more HP you make, the more helpful an easily adjustable shock can be.

Where did you get that Hemi Denny kit? I could use one of them.

Don't forget afco makes a double adjustable drop in front shock, which is also rebuildable and able to be fine tuned.

Brad do you have a part number for the Afro shocks AFCO 3850m (5" stroke). Both Summit and Jegs have them listed on their sites.

So weight less and make more hp, sounds like a win-win to me.
