It's dead.
I know many on here thought EFI and no hood scoops were the beginning of the way back but it was just another turn in the long road of death to the best eliminator in drag racing.

Look how many of our own Moparts guys have switched over to EFI (the magic bullet) and are struggling to get it right. LOL. No thanks I'll stick to old-school.

Do you think the dodges will even finish the season? None of them are highly sponsored and to show up and lose first round won't pay the bills. It's a catch 22. They may have signed a contract to make so many races or they don't get paid at all. There is more to it than just showing up for NHRA events. But, that is why V. Gaines parked his car. NHRA took the fun out of it. Unless something major changes, PS is done. I think they should make it an 8 car show. I hate bye runs. It's only going to get worse. NHRA wants the class gone but after the PST fiasco they don't want to end up in court again.

According to a Facebook post by Allen Johnson they found a gremlin in the car right before the last time trial. Only time will tell as they did step up but so did the weather.

I hope they find something. You won't find 2 better people than Roy and Allen. They have always been more than nice to me. Edit: And Roy still returns my phone calls. He is a great guy, soft spoken and very very smart.

It would be interesting to hear what they found. IIRC they were off close to two miles per hour in their losing effort in the first round.

13 car fields in pro stock, and 25 cars trying to get into the pro-mod field.
The rules changes pushed teams away as far as I can see.
Pro mods get their own 1/2hr show...... Pro stock gets about 1 minute of air time during the qualifying show. I don't think you're going to have much luck hunting down sponsorship with that kind of air time.
Top fuel Harley's get more love from fs1.

Gaines is coming back. Not in a Dodge. Haven't heard this. If true, I'm glad for V. but still pissed he's not in a Dodge. I thought V. was going Pro Mod?

Top fuel Harley's get more love from fs1. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^All true^^^^^^^^^^ And the Pro Mods don't have a 24 race schedule to keep up with. I think they only race 10-12 times a year which cuts down costs a bunch. I realize scheduling is difficult, but running 4 races in 10 weeks with only 2 even close to each other and the 8 races in 10 weeks is a nightmare, especially going for Houston one week, Charlotte the next and then where ever they go next. Seems to me they could cut down on the mileage some but what do I know?
