I'm almost done restoring a set of pedals for a '67 GTX and am wondering what color I should paint them so not to start rusting. dull black? stainless steel?

Paint everything that was originally bare with "stainless". The lower portions of the pedals get semi gloss with a distinctive line where the black ends - I'm pretty sure these were dipped originally.

that is good information! Now if I could trouble somebody for a picture. I've seen people go all black, and it just doesn't look right.

The pedals were not "sprayed" black, they were dipped - so there should be a definitive line where the black stops.
