Just did mine. For that step, I put vasoline in the letters, cleaned around the letters and painted argent. Cleaned vasoline out after painting. Filled in the black and let dry. Then lightly wiped the top of the letters off with thinner to expose chrome.

The recess area where the red vinyl stripe goes is that a different color silver and not argent. thanks Larry J

Hi,I would like to know who refinished your trunk finish panel,looks great also the approximate cost, being here in jersey the cost to have this done is quite high. Thanks Brian btomasko@yahoo.com X2, I had to "convert" a Sport Satellite tail panel for use on my GTX because my original was so bad.
