Read what he said, if Dodge can't turn the rpm up they can't compete. Like Mc gay he said 1500 hp for GM, 1470 for Dodge at the imposed rpm limit. Do you think there would be any small block Chevys in comp eliminator or any class right now if they had put an rpm limit of 6000 on them. Gone with the dinosaurs by now. If you don't have parts, that's a different story. If they restrict ingenuity and invention, they're biased and hurting the class. I bet if it was the other way around one could hear the screaming from the moon.

Sounds like NHRA was trying to make one of their biggest sponsors happy by setting it up for GM cars to win. This is one time I don't think that NHRA had any hidden agenda. The Mopars barely kept up, and rarely won prior to the rule change. IMO the problem is, very few options even for a guy like MaGaha. As far as the cheating or pushing the limits of the rules, I totally agree with him. There have been times, especially last year, where the Line/Anderson team was several hundredths ahead of the field. I think the RPM limit hurt many, not just Mopars. I wish Monte were still with us. I'm sure he would have something to say. Al and Boatracer know a lot of people in the know as well.

My feelings are that when it comes to rules changes along the lines of what they did to PS, no one with any kind of a handle on how the rules would impact the class was consulted.
Someone in the office gets an idea of what changes should be made to help with the class appeal and participation, and that's what gets handed down to the competitors........whether it's really the right way to go or not.
IMO, the rules changes have done ZERO to improve the spectator appeal or racer participation.

Mcgaha the guy that was bad mouthing Mopar fans a few years ago? It was more like whining because Mopar wouldn't give him a pile of stuff for free. IIRC, he said he regretted ever signing anything that sais Mopar on it for the fans. I said on Yellowbullet that interview made him sound like a dick. He personally answered it with more whining about Mopar not giving him anything. Ummmm... is it true he pronounces his last name "McGay!Hey!"? That's what it is around these parts. Handful of them.
I want my fair share
