Just have a quick question are alcohol heads different design than gas/fuel heads on a hemi, or are they the same between the two fuels? If they are different what are the changes? Also what are the differences in piston design? Would an alcohol head work on a fuel motor with correct pistons? Thanks

There are many differences between fuel and alcohol heads, so NO they are not even close to being the same. Fuel heads has down nozzles that alcohol heads doesn't have for one.

Are you saying fuel as in gasoline OR fuel as in a top fueler... because the only differences in my alky head vs a gas head was the valve dia, being the alky head gets a larger valve dia..... this is on a W-9

I am talking alky and gasoline. Sorry about the confusion. Would alcohol heads work on a street/strip motor? These are DART hemi heads I am taking about. Thanks

I have seen this kind of post on other sites and I think one thing that no one ever asks is what kind of preformance are you looking to get? If you mean will the motor run then yes. Will it get more hp and or tq from one to the other then that is where the debate is. There are a ton of differences in the hemi head world. The older heads stay alot closer to the standard 426 heas but the later model stuff is way different.Just my 2 cents
