Anyone running HP manifolds, 2 1/2 h-pipe system, Ultraflows, and 12" resonators in the tailpipes on a 440 b-body (1968)?
I added the tailpipe resonators to my Dynomax Super Turbos years ago because the drone would rattle my teeth. Made a big difference but the turbos are too quiet for my liking.
I did a lot of research on this forum regarding flow and it looks like the ultras are one of the best flowing mufflers. That should help my 440 (515hp) breathe a little better.

OT, what about some elec or vac cutouts? otherwise here is a BTT for ya. I've always heard good regarding Dynomax but dont remember if they were referring to super turbos or ultras.

One thing is certain, you will notice a seat of the pants improvement in power when you take those restrictive Super Turbos off and put the Ultraflows on.

I recently saw a repeat of a "Power Block" TV show... Horsepower?...not sure, where they tested several mufflers on the same mule engine on a dyno. I think they might have used a LS-engine. Anyway, best to worst was a range of about 8-10hp max. improvement vs. stock muffler (on a street/strip build).

I have them on my '63 Dodge.
I did turn downs in front of the rear axle.
No drone and they aren't loud at all.
