Well, not to rub it in but our tax return just opened the door for me to go... I give the state WAY too much money as a free loan for the year, and then they give me some of it back. Aren't they sweet? Seeing as how they handled their budgeting issues in such a timely manner, I trust them them to take better care of my money than I ever could.

Regardless of that "fact", I'll be there Thursday some time. I'm staying at the Alliante a few miles from the track. I have not had the car out since Pinks - Sonoma (Infineon), and since then I've rebuilt the rear end again, gone to discs on the rear, changed from 275/60 M/T Drag Radials to 28.0x10.5 M/T ET Drags and Caltracs. I'm trying to get my subframe connectors in before MATS, but I may have to forgo them since I still have to finish replumbing the fuel lines to clear them. That, and I'd prefer to have someone more competent at chassis mods supervise my installation (HINT HINT - Free beverages of choice and BBQ for any volunteers!!!)

I justpaid my $$$ last week for registration. I've had the hotel booked for 3 months. I'll be going in with a completely new and untested chassis setup includuing cal-tracs and real slicks. Well see what happens! It will either hook up and drop my 60's or hook up and drop my 8 3/4...

I won't be attending. Have fun boys!

UPDATE We will be staying at the track this time around. If anyone needs a hand at the track, give me a pm and I can give you my cell. I am bringing my NO maintenance 68 Valiant beater so I shouldn't have to work on it at all. Unless Murphy is reading this! And then it will just go in the trailer. Bringing up quite a pile of swap meet parts as well. Time to trim down on the extras

I think given the past couple of months that I will have Mr Murphy plenty busy so you should be good to go.

I talk to Jill Painter yesterday about having our group pitted in the same area as last year, she said to have each racer save 4 or 5 spots for his buds, she couldn't give us 50 spaces and have them held for us I'll try to get into the pits Thursday afternoon and set out some cones and traffic markers out, see you there

Well, if my wife isn't coming with due to the child care situation, I may cancel a night or 2 of my hotel reservation and stay at the track to save some $$$. Do they have a problem with tents?
