has anyone bought a440-6/Hemi oil pan on ebay? The oil pans are almost too cheap:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/STEEL-1967-87-CH...W-/152175169599

how's the quality? Summit price for a natural steel pan is almost double ($94)..

Chinese oil pan from a Cheby store for next to nothing and free shipping. How good do you think it will be?

The description states "raw"...Take a good look at the pic...Raw, as in no drainplug ??? And possibly no punched holes of any kind...This is where you need to ask the right questions to the seller...

The same pans are available in chrome or zinc plated for just a few $$$ more. I linked the raw version (surface finish) because the same one is available through Summit.
I'm pretty sure the Summit pan comes from the same Chinese factory.
Here's the chrome pan for comparison: http://www.ebay.com/itm/STEEL-1967-87-CH...E-/151681523681

It's a pretty simple part, not much can go wrong. If it fits, I would use it. If not, send it back. All you risk is the return shipping.

Just got one from Summit, the spot welds on the baffles are iffy and I'm going to hit them with the welder before installation.

Thanks for the info! Kinda confirms my suspicion that all cheaper pans come from the same factory.

Take some pictures if you like, always up for some work for the cause.

I figure a $94 Summit pan is better than my old hemi unit that is all dented to hell and sealed with JB Weld.

Mopar used two different street hemi oil pans, one from 1966 to 1969 that holds 5 quarts that needs the skid plate on the K member to avoid damages to it on the street and the 1970/1971 that has a different sump that holds 6 quarts and doesn't hang down as low as the first ones did scope
Which one is this one confused
It looks like a 402 B/RB wedge motor oil pan to me, not either one of the street hemi pans work confused

In the description it says that the pan holds 6 quarts. Should be the 70up design then.
