So I finished my 318 for my 87 D150. It's a 90 318 with 714 swirl port heads with stock valves and a 5 angle valve job. Hughes whiplash 318 hydraulic roller cam, comp 901 springs, locks and retainers. Eddy performer intake on top with headman long tubes. Msd billet distributor with a 6a box,8.5 mm wires, summit 2800-3200 converter,3.55 sure grip rear. I have two carbs that need rebuilt. One is an Edelbrock 1405 and the other is a Holley street avenger 770. Which one will be the best fit on this mill?

I have used both brands and both have worked well.
I word start with the Edelbrock.

Good overall carb is the 9636 Carter. Performance replacement for the 340/383

I'd definitely start with the 1405 first (get a strip kit).
