What have you all done to clean up the inside of a dash ash tray? Do they make the rivets they are put together with?

On the inside you can have it re plated, I think it had zinc on it. I couldn't find the correct rivets, so I used some aircraft rivets. On the outside, they weren't painted with the dash frame so some had a different shade of color.

With the correct tool and clinching dies the rivets come out looking exactly the same as factory.

Just needed different dies. Same here. My 69 Barracuda Grilles, ashtray, 2 speed wiper motor, heater box and more. Rivets are inexpensive as well.
