I put one in a 1970 Duster years ago with Hooker headers using elephant ears for the front mount and the stock tranny mount We hung the motor on a chain and positon it so every thing cleared and then welded the locating tabs on the front sub frames The headers where really easy to put on as they where four different pipes and every pipe slid ride in I don't remember the primary tube size (maybe 2 1/8 or 2 1/4)or how close the headers where to the torsion bars either, sorry

I would like to know what clearance others have to the torsion bars, and steering shaft. Very little. Everything is tight. The 1 and 3 tubes wrap around the steering box. The engine better be in the right place. The headers are close to everything. I thought my 65 was bad until I worked on a 68.
