I have done some searches but no luck. Does someone make/sell the brass "eyelets" that hold the carpet in the rear corners? 70-71 e body is the application and they are oval kinda narrow.
TIA
Ron

I've been wondering the same thing.

There was a set of rear-carpet retainers up for sale quite some time ago, and I was wondering what years had them and how they attach.

Where are the eyelets in the carpeting?

A few of the Cudas I have had over the years (with original carpet) had them in the rear corners, there are screw on brackets that hold the carpet up in the corners, I have some originals but Ithing trying to open them with destroy them. I will try to get pictures up.

I saved this set from a 28,000 original mile 1971 Charger. There were 4. Two of them are two piece and two of them are single piece just crimped to a slice in the carpet. I usually only see the two piece type like the one I'm holding. They crimp to the carpet better...top and bottom.

Thanks for the pic, fc7vw9. Where in the picture is the carpet retainer? It is the item the wires are routed through, that is pointing down?

I've never seen one in person, so am not sure.

THESE ARE OUT OF MY 71 CUDA, THE BLACK ONE IS PLASTIC COATED AND MOUNTS TO THE DRIVERS SIDE, THE OTHER ONE IS STAMPED GALVANIZED SHEET METAL 18GA AND WAS ON THE PASS SIDE. MY 70 CUDA (LA BUILT) HAD 2 OF THE BLACK ONES, ONE ON EACH SIDE.

Does anyone have a picture of the retainers with the carpet installed? Getting close to this point of installation and you have already helped me identify what the retainers were for. up

Thanks for the pictures, Ron...really helpful! Now I need to track these brackets town for my LA build Cuda.

I'm also curious to see what this all looks like when assembled.
