What their saying is you will need to trim the leading edge of your rear wheel wells a max of 2" (NHRA legal)and that will taper up into the wheel opening.
You will probably also need to trim the wheel lip or at least roll it in, sometimes this can be done with a baseball bat rolled along the tire to roll the lip in. Or have a body man do it.
Of the "A" bodies the dart has the least amount of clearance for bigger tires.

why not just mini-tub it so you can get a decent size tire under it?

I ran 9x28x15 Phoenix slicks on my 69 Dart. Relocated the springs in .75" and used a 8" wheel with 4.5" BS. I did have to grind the wheel opening lip some. The opening remained untouched. Jim

i ran a ET street 28x11.5 on mine for a while with no cutting of the front corner, no spring-relo. it was close though....
15 x 8 welds w/ 4.5 bs.
if you moved the springs in and ran more backspace, you wouldnt have to worry about that quarter lip
theres a long thread on this on bigblockdart thats stickied at the top.
