I am going to be doing some wiring upgrades. Curious what your panel control functions are on your Switch panel...

I have plans for the usual,,eg, Start, Ignition, Fuel pump, electric fan, water pump....

Are there "other" accessories I should consider,,I would have room for 2 additional items,,,,???

Thx,
Doug

Some tracks require lights. You could put running lights on one switch and headlights on another.

I run the same stuff as you Doc.. but ran my single
center light(in the back window.. the stock light)
on a switch... but that filled my panel up
EDIT
your only required to have a single light in back
for night racing... you can see it in the center
of the back window at the bottom..... sorry its 90* off

The Duster I now have has a Painless switch panel and relay/fuse bank that rivals a small Cessna..... I hate it, and WILL get things changed or at least straightened out if I choose to have an "off season". Stuff I have: waterpump, fan, electric gauges (want them switched separately so I don't have to have the ign switch on), racepak and O2 sensor (been advised to wire that up separate due to the amp draw... basically switch it on in the lanes to heat it up), trans brake, line lock, shift timer, fuel pump. A lot of the accessories can share a switch, but there are some I want separate. I also have the tach into the same switch as the t brake circuit... that lets me know that it's powered up for sure. I'll sit down and map all the stuff out one day....

Don't get too fancy if you race...Too many switches is a real pain....You basically have what's needed covered, maybe a drivers fan. My cars are simple just with the items you stated, but there is one car I drive that has an 8 switch panel, and at night, at the track, it is a real PITA.....

I use the second fuel pump circuit for the trans. brake. You don't have to hold the button on the wheel to back up. Saved me once when the button on the wheel didn't hold. I also power the Mega450 off of an accessory switch. Switching it off and back on will act as an override, though I've never used it for that. Yet?

Auto Rod Controls 3100 panel is all I use for a conventional car. If one fuel pump is used, - which most do these days - I use the 2nd pump switch for any accessories I want to control independent of the ignition switch.

Any thing that might need to be turned on or off during a run (throttle stop override, false brake lights whistling) is switched separately on a mount at the shifter or someplace easily at hand.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
