Does anybody know of any source that might have stroker cranks in stock? Looking for an RB 4.25" stroke crank.

The reason I ask is because I ordered a K1 Technology crank a couple months ago, thru Summit Racing. The wait time was supposed to be 3 weeks, but it keeps getting bumped out. That was about 10 weeks ago. I tried to find out when it would actually get here from Summit, but apparently they don't know and can't say.
So I tried to contact K1 to make sure they even received my order. They don't answer their phone, or return voicemails or email. Been trying for a couple of weeks to ontact them and absolutely nobody ever picks up the phone at any of the extensions I've tried.
Are they even still in business? Did they just close up shop and all go home?
I can be patient if I know when I can expect to receive it, but not if they keep breaking their promised delivery dates, over and over again.

I'm thinking I might order a Scat crank, but that's another 3 week wait...which would be fine if I KNEW it would actually be 3 weeks, and not some indefinite anount of time like with K1.
So does anybody actually carry these things in stock, or do they all order these things from the manufactuer after you pay them first?

Sorry for the rant, but I had to get that off my chest wink

Some of the crank companies wait until they have so many orders before they make a batch. When I ordered my 605 kit Indy said they didn't know when they'd get a crank. I called Callies and they basically said it might be 6 months or longer before they had enough orders. But....they said they had the crank I needed with a 2.2 pin size. I called and told BGR to have Indy order that with the appropriate rod, worked even better.Dave

My choice too. In fact we are waiting on Tom to machine a 4.25 crank from the latest shipment.

When I bought my 3.91 Tom told me he has them machined by the Chinese. Is yours a custom deal?

But yeah, Molnar seems to have decent cranks.

I have some good news. Made some progress today.
Called K1 and put the phone on speaker and just left while I farted around on the interwebz. After about 10 minutes, I was forwarded to Weisco (their parent company) and somebody actually picked up the phone. I guess I'd never waited that long (on hold) before. Apparently there is just zero communication at K1.
The guy at Weisco said that he showed them being in stock, but he couldn't tell me anything about my order because I made it thru Summit (which I find a little funny since it's a drop order so they must have my name in their system...but anyway.) So I had to go BACK to Summit (for about the 3rd or 4h time) and told the I just got off the hone with the manufacturer and they are in stock, so why haven't they shipped my order yet? So they put me on hold, got with the manufacturer, and they are SUPPOSED to ship my crankshaft out today. SOme sort of SNAFU in the system, but I suspect that my crankshaft was just sitting there all along.
When I get my tracking code, I'll finally sigh a sigh of relief.

I had a kick-azz deal for sale on Moparts several months ago for a balanced 440source 4.250 rotating assembly but I couldn't give it away like most mopar guys like things (I was losing 500 on it) so I'm now building a 512 for my green Duster.

1970 Duster
Edelbrock headed 408
5.984@112.52
422 Indy headed small block
5.982@112.56 mph
9.42@138.27

Livin and lovin life one day at a time

Here's our "crank room." Every single crank on the shelf is a Big Block Mopar crank.

For over twelve years, we've kept several hundred Big Block Mopar cranks in stock and ready to ship. No one else comes anywhere near this level of investment in stock, in the Mopar universe.

We guarantee to ship within one business day. If you call in the early to middle part of the day, 99% of the time, it will be on the truck the same day. We don't back order anything, we don't drop ship anything. And shipping (to the lower 48) doesn't cost you a penny.

Call us up and you won't be transferred to some "parent company," it's just the same few guys who have always been here. Brandon (since 2003), Kim (Since 2007) and Tim (since 2014.)

Our cranks have been used in thousands and thousands of builds from stock rebuilds all the way to 1465 horsepower twin turbo Hot Rod magazine builds. Need it balanced to a specific bobweight? We can do that too, usually within 48 Hours.

I'm looking at 4's in the 1/8 with a crank from 440source.

I must say, I run a 440 Source 4.15 crank with no problems in my personal 500 inch engine. 730 HP with 906 iron heads on pump gas and 928 HP with Victor heads and E85.

Tom with Molnar is a genuinely nice guy and easily accessible. He answered all my questions.

I have no reason to go elsewhere.

Wish 440source made stuff for small blocks I'd run their assemblies, good quality products have a few of the things they make on my 72, heads, pullers, water pump, sfi flex plate and balancer in my 440.

The crank finally landed on my doorstep on Fri.

Normally I am very patient about these things (maybe too patient, if you ask my wife ;)) I don't like to be the guy who is somebody's pain in the ass. But this took too many calls and bothering too many people to 'make it happen', only because I was getting to may broken promises over too long a period of time.
Anyway, it's my machinist that was probably inconvenienced the most, having my block take up space in the corner of his shop, waiting for the crank. But all's well that ends well, so he'll get the crank on Monday and hopefully he's be happy with the quality.
