Mostly street, track couple times a year at most. Just for the slip.
A-body, 3300lbs with my butt in it, 904 trans, 3000 stall, 4.30's, footbrake only
Basics: Holley 800cfm DP carb Edelbrock Performer RPM intake Deep port match/ bowl clean up 2.02/1.60 valves 597 heads (enough for 250cfm @ .550" lift 10.5:1 Compression Stock 3.58" Stroke 6000-6500 max rpm all on 91 octane E10 swill
* prefer solid, would entertain hydraulic, but not likely. * would like to average over 400ft-lbs from 3500-5500 rpm
was thinking MP 557 cam.. old design, but hard to beat.

Not into those "old" grinds and only use ISKY so call em and ask for Rod or as most say on here Dwane can hook ya up but I pick my own and the cam in my Dart is a custom grind based on MY needs..........

With 10.5 CR, you are going to need a lot more cam than necessary to run on pump 91 E10, even if you have quench, which I'm assuming you don't since your are running iron pass car heads.
With 250 cfm on a 365 ci motor, a 230 @ .050" cam will shift at about 64-6500, but you need to drop the CR by a point without quench, to use it and .75 point with quench. Otherwise, it will rattle, whether you hear it or not.

The old comp cam 255 at 050 540 on a 106--catalog cam been selling it forever--that baby WORKS in a 340-360 engine with that CI I would install around 103 It also sounds plain Wicked---you ain't gonna have a problem with anything--slap it in and go--you have the gear for it and yes...if you were bracket racing more compression would be better--everyone wants a jet fighter on paper( everything scienced out to the max per conventional wisdom) when a hang glider will give you great views and lots of thrills and is just past a paper airplane from tech point of view--picking that perfect cam is an urban myth--don't let the scientist mess up your plan--you want wicked sound and a car that can truly be called a hot rod--just about any solid will fill that bill Have fun ! I ran 6.91 in 1/8th with heads that flowed way less than yours on a MP 360 crate shortblock and the Comp I mentioned and it had a RPM dual plane--it liked 6400 shift point and pulled hard to about 6600 after that it was done but by then I was sailing!

Howards 558 first pic, MP 557 second pic. Just a tool for comparison sake.
MP 557 made a little more horsepower with a more peaky torque curve, while the Howards cam made a little less horsepower but a fatter torque curve starting early in the RPM range.
