On my 67 Coronet I mounted it under the horns. Was pretty well hidden.

Which model box? If a 6 or one of those type under the battery tray is pretty common If it is one of the seven race boxes I've mounted them on the inner fenderwell and on the engine side of the radiator core support Make sure to try and keep both types away from moisture and excessive heat.

I put mine under the dash. I am not sure I would do it again. Its a bit noisy and, since its red, sticks out some. But, I wanted it out of the heat and any rain if I happen to get caught out in it.
