So my OE type 28" radiator leaks like a sieve. It rusted my brand new booster by spraying coolant all over the place. I've fixed it once already but it's time for a new one, no more fixing junk.

Anyone have any suggestions for an modern aluminum radiator on the cheap side? Basically just anything that fits and had the hose outlets in the correct positions for a BB.

Part #s help but just point me in the right direction.

Champion Radiator has a number of aftermarket aluminum, down flow radiators. You should be able to find something that will fit with in/outs in the correct location: http://www.championradiators.com/

There are a number of options on ebay.

Summit racing sells universal cross flow units under $200 but may require you to fab mounting brackets of come up with a mounting system. I used one for my blown BB Duster for clearance reasons. http://www.70duster440.com/cooling.html

I imagine there are no 'bolt in' options which is why I am asking if anyone has found something that worked without too much fuss.

Of course cheap is a relative term here. Don't really want to spend $5-600 bones on something but maybe around $200-$250?

Fabbing up brackets is not a problem and I figured I'd be doing something like that but the less involved, the better.

I found Spectra CU889 which is $240 at R.A.

There are a couple companies that make specific fit radiators for our dodge trucks for inexpensive. I've seen a few on Ebay.

I have a generic AFCO aluminum rad on my BB car. I just picked ones with inlets/outlets on the sides I wanted and put it together with some flex hose. Working great.

I've got a generic copper/steel rad in my '77 and have seen the cheapie aluminum radiators on ebay too.

Why wouldn't a 26 inch aluminum b body radiator bolt in?

You know, I have a 26" small block radiator taking up space...

Maybe that flex hose idea could work in that situation.
